At 2PM, a link to a secret microsite was posted in our Instagram bio. Once clicking the link, you could find instructions for decoding cryptic clues, which lead you to subsequent locations in NYC.
You had to find a code at each location and enter it into the microsite to unlock the next location.
In the 1920's, liquor stores and speakeasies were disguised as retail stores. Since 2008, this TriBeCa clothing store has been disguised as a liquor store.
ANSWER: J. CREW LIQUOR STORE
Once arriving at the J.Crew Liquor Store, you were looking for a window display with the word wines, which was the password that revealed location #2.
This TriBeCa hotel boasts a 1920s movie theatre, 90s disco, and underground jazz club.
ANSWER: THE ROXY HOTEL
Once arriving at The Roxy, you were looking for a piece of art, "Look for the clothespin tag", which is above the restaurant, petrarca, which was the password that revealed location #3.
Head down to Chambers St. where you'll find a poster museum, which has the world's largest selection of vintage and rare posters.
ANSWER: PHILLIP WILLIAMS POSTERS
Once arriving at Phillip Williams Posters, you were looking for a French poster with the word bourin, which was the password that revealed location #4.
The whisper around town is that 5 separate black locks are hidden outside of a mysterious bookshop nearby in TriBeCa. Each lock is set to 1-1-6.
